UV lamps are also used for water purification in water reclamation, waste water, drinking water, industrial and commercial process. In addition, UVB radiation helps to reduce the presence of bacteria when washing is hung outside to dry. Finally, UV lights are used to sterilize the air more effectively than a simple filter can, which is particularly useful if there are pets or smokers in the home.
